So today I thought I would go back to that and talk about 5 tips to help you master second-hand shopping.

So you will soon be doing it like a pro!

Think About What Your Wearing.

Walking from one charity shop to another can be a task, so think about what you are wearing, be comfy.

This can also help if you’re going to be looking to buy clothes – yup charity shops often offer changing rooms.

So dress so you can quickly change and try on that perfect find!

One of the great things about charity and second-hand stores is you never know what you will find.

However, with that in mind, you need to be ready to leave empty handed if nothing is right for you.

Remember just because something is cheap and you’ve been looking for ages doesn’t make it bargain.

While the fun of the shop is you never know what you will find. Don’t go without some sort of plan.

What are you looking for?

Is there a gap in your wardrobe that needs filling? Some sort of kitchen item, or a gap on a shelf that needs filling?

Just like any other shops make a list and stick to the type of item you need.

Again like any other shopping trip you need to set yourself a budget.

It can be so easy to let the pennies run away with you when you are buying cheap.

If it is easier, then get out some cash and shop just with that, once it’s gone you know it’s time to stop.

Stains on a beautiful dress, put it back! It’s likely ended up there as the original owner couldn’t remove it.

Something with a moth hole in? Pop it back it’s going to be a nightmare to sew.

That said not everything is unfixable, so know what you can and can’t fix and stick to what you can and not what you may be able to.
