I have used survey websites for as long as I can remember and I will try and share different ones over the time here.
However, with Christmas coming I thought I would share with you perhaps one of my best paying survey websites Prolific.
It is a really easy survey website to use and you have already been prescreened so none of those annoying “sorry you don’t fit the criteria” 15 minutes in.
I actually put off joining prolific for a long time and wish I hadn’t as it really is so simple and easy to use.
How to Join Prolific
Of course, the first thing you need to do is sign up.
Make sure to choose, you want to partake in studies and not that you want to recruit participants. Pop in your details and await an email to verify your account.
Fully Complete the About You Section
Once your account is up and running you want to make sure you complete the about you section.
This might seem a little tedious but this is how they prescreen people. So to get matched to surveys you need to do it.
It is also worth noting that from time to time new questions will appear in this section so keep an eye on it.
You Have Been Matched
So you have been matched to a survey. On your survey page you will find a little bit about what they study entails, the amount you will be paid and the average time it takes to complete.
On the first screen, you can book your place. This is a great addition to the website as surveys fill quickly. Yet sometimes they need you to complete it on a certain device.
So this gives you a few minutes to connect, settle and find quiet before you begin completing.
It is worth being away that Prolific don’t often email you when you are matched to a study. However, there is a chrome addon called Prolific Assistant which will notify you when new studies are found.
Check the Submissions Tab
Once you have completed a study they will move to your submissions tab.
From here you can see the status. Which will tell you if you have been paid or if there are any issues.
It will also link you to the researcher, allowing you to message them should you have any questions. You can even choose to “return” if you don’t want the researcher to use your information. However, if you choose this you will not get paid.
You can choose to be paid via PayPal or Circle. However think carefully before you decide which one to use.
Cashout starts at £5, if you decide to be paid via PayPal you will incur a fee of 2.9 % + 20p while Circle will charge you 1% + 10p fee.
This is unless you wait until you have £20 to cash out with whereby you can cash out to Circle with no fee.
Earn More with Referrals
It is worth noting that Prolific also offers a referral programme where you will earn 10% of their first cash out on Prolific.
So there you have some information on Prolific one of my favourite survey websites! Why not click on over and sign up right now.
